Head coach Dana Holgorsen has done well hiring and retaining quality assistant coaches during his tenure at West Virginia.

On Tuesday afternoon, that trend came to a halt.

The Tennessee Titans and first-year head coach Mike Vrabel announced the hirings of three new assistant coaches, including former West Virginia running backs coach Tony Dews.

This will be Dews first season as an assistant in the NFL after spending the 2017 season with the Mountaineers. Dews spent the 1999-2001 seasons as a graduate assistant for West Virginia and returned in 2007 as a wide receivers coach under Rich Rodriguez.

Dana Holgorsen has yet to name a replacement for Dews.
