DAC Energy Contributes $100,000 for WVU Basketball Tickets
DAC Energy has made a $100,00 contribution to WVU Athletics for WVU basketball tickets to be distributed among West Virginia communities, per a release Friday.
DAC Energy was founded by Ken and Jennifer Mason, who are both West Virginia natives.
“Ken and Jennifer Mason are lifelong residents of this great state and never hesitate to help make it better for all,” WVU athletic director Wren Baker said. “We are very appreciative of this kind gift that has the potential to introduce Mountaineer basketball to an entire new generation of fans.”
In the release, Ken Mason described their motivation for the contribution, expressing the desire to make WVU Sports more accessible to people despite their financial situations.
“Jennfier and I have lived in West Virginia our entire lives and have been blessed in many ways by our state and its people. We, alongside our employees, think it is important for everyone, no matter their situation, to be able to enjoy WVU Sports,” Ken Mason said. “We look forward to seeing the seats full and the Coliseum in full force for Coach Hodge and the team this season.”
WVU basketball has 16 remaining home games, including the Backyard Brawl on Thursday, Nov. 13. The Mountaineers will next host Lehigh at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hope Coliseum.
