BREAKING: Top New Jersey lineman commits to West Virginia
This past week, 2020 offensive lineman Chris Mayo (Hightstown, NJ) took a visit to West Virginia and fell in love with the program. “I had a great visit, it was a really great time!” Mayo said.

Moments ago, Mayo informed Quinn Madden of DubVNation that he has made it official by committing to the Mountaineers. “Coach Brown has a lot to prove, but he has the means and the ambition to build a great program. The Big 12 is about to be dealing with a really good West Virginia team.” he stated.
When asked why he chose West Virginia he responded by saying, “The type of culture coach Brown is bringing to West Virginia is what won me over. It means a lot to me and my family that I’m going to be developed as a man first, then a football player.” Mayo told DubVNation.
Mayo, chose West Virginia over Kentucky, but also had other offers from Purdue, Tennessee, Auburn, Arizona State, Maryland, Nebraska, Pitt and many others.
