WVU Women’s Soccer to Participate in Inaugural Pittsburgh Riveters Classic

The WVU women’s soccer team will participate in the inaugural Riveters Classic Women’s College Showcase, hosted by Pittsburgh Riveters SC on Saturday, April 11, at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Mountaineers will take on long-time rival Penn State, and kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. General admission tickets are available now for just $10 and can be purchased through the Highmark Stadium box office or by visiting GoFevo.com.

West Virginia and Penn State have a storied history, with 25 meetings between the two teams. During the 2025 fall season, the Nittany Lions earned a 3-1 victory over the Mountaineers on Aug. 24 in University Park, Pa.

The 2026 Riveters Classic is presented by SportsPITTSBURGH. The match will be part of WVU’s 2026 spring schedule and will not count toward the two teams’ overall records. West Virginia’s entire 2026 spring slate will be announced at a later date.
