The WVU baseball program officially announced the 2027 schedule on Friday, allowing Mountaineer fans to start preparing for the spring months in advance.

The 55-game slate features 22 contests at Wagener Field at Kendrick Family Ballpark as well as 23 meetings with 2025 NCAA Tournament teams. In all, WVU will take on nine squads that reached the postseason, including two teams that advanced to Super Regionals.

The Mountaineers are coming off the best season in program history in which they advanced to the College World Series for the first time, ultimately reaching the national semifinals. Overall, West Virginia went 47-17, setting a new program record for wins.

The 136th year of Mountaineer baseball and third under head coach Steve Sabins gets started with a series on the road at The College of Charleston from Feb. 19-21. The Mountaineers follow that with a weekend down in Florida, starting with a game against St. Johnโ€™s on Feb. 25 in DeLand, before playing in the Orlando Baseball Classic from Feb. 26-28, where they will play Indiana State, St. Johnโ€™s and Michigan.

After a series at UCF, April 2-4, the Mountaineers are on the road for the first of three games this season against Marshall, April 6. From May 7-9, WVU will travel to Tucson for the fourth time in five years. However, this is the first time Arizona and WVU will battle it out as Big 12 foes in the Cactus State as previous trips were a non-conference series in 2023, NCAA Regionals in 2024, and a single non-conference game in 2026.

The final nonconference game of the season will take place at Meritus Park in Hagerstown, Maryland on May 12, as the Mountaineers take on Virginia for the first time since 1949.

West Virginia plays its final home series of the season against Oklahoma State, May 14-16, after skipping the Cowboys in 2026. The Mountaineers close out the season on the road at TCU, May 20-22.

The 2027 Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate will return to Surprise Stadium, the spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers, and will be held May 25-29 in Surprise, Arizona.
