Former Mountaineer Will Clarke Agrees to Another UFL Deal

Former Mountaineer Will Clarke is going to extend his professional career, agreeing to another deal to play in the UFL.

As announced by the UFL, Clarke will stay with the Arlington Renegades for at least one more season. Clarke was drafted by the Renegades in 2022 when the franchise was a member of the XFL. Clarke won an XFL championship with the Renegades in 2023.

Prior to his tenure with Arlington, Clarke bounced around the NFL from 2014 to 2020. The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Clarke in the third rotund of the 2014 NFL Draft. He also experienced time the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was on the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints’ practice squads. In between Tampa and Detroit, Clarke was a member of the then XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks in 2020.

Clarke registered 37 total tackles and seven sacks during his NFL career.

Clarke had a quiet first two years at WVU in 2011 and 2012. As a junior in 2013, however, he broke out with 36 tackles, six sacks and 17 tackles for loss.

The Pittsburgh, Pa. native was a second-team All-Big 12 player with West Virginia in 2013.
