WVU Basketball Recruiting
Former Xavier Signee, 4-Star Jayden Forsythe Commits to WVU Basketball

WVU basketball picked up its second high school recruit on Tuesday in four-star prospect Jayden Forsythe.
Forsythe (6-foot-5, 195) announced his commitment to the Mountaineers on social media Tuesday morning.
Jayden Forsythe is a former Xavier signee who reopened his recruitment when former coach Sean Miller accepted the Texas job on March 25. New WVU coach Ross Hodge jumped into a competitive battle for Forsythe, ultimately beating out the likes of Wake Forest, Butler, Northwestern and Virginia Tech. Lauded as one of the best shooters in the 2025 recruiting class, Forsythe averaged 9.5 points while shooting 38.5% from three on his AAU team last summer.
Forsythe is from Norristown, Pa. and plays his high school ball at Westtown School in New York. 247Sports rates Forsythe as a four-star recruit and the No. 113 player in the nation. Rivals and On3 both rate Forsythe as a three-star prospect with On3 ranking him No. 161 in the country.
Forsythe joins DJ Thomas as Hodge’s only high school recruits in the 2025 class.ย Thomas had signed at North Texas, but will now follow the former UNT coach to West Virginia instead.
