Williams, a 6-foot-0, 205-pound running back from East Paulding High School in Dallas, Georgia, originally committed to WVU in July, after making a visit to Morgantown in June. However, Williams picked up offers from Michigan and Tennessee at the end of October, and he made a visit to Knoxville soon after for Tennesee’s game against Alabama.
With almost 30 offers in his arsenal, Williams has a wide array of schools that would be eager to pick up his services after an incredible senior season in which he accumulated over 1,500 all-purpose yards for East Paulding.
According to 247Sports, Williams is the 369th-ranked recruit in the class, the 32nd-ranked running back and the 34th-ranked recruit from Georgia. Rivals rates him as the 221st-ranked recruit in the class, the 13th-ranked running back and 21st-ranked recruit from Georgia.
With Williams’ decommitment, WVU no longer has a running back committed to its 2022 class.
