JUCO OL says WVU is in top 5 with decision looming

Recently I caught up with Northwest Mississippi CC offensive lineman Damien Lewis (6’3″ 320) about his visit last weekend to Morgantown. Lewis told me, “It went great, it was my first time being there. I have a couple of old teammates playing there and the mountains really stood out to me.” My biggest takeaway from my conversation with him was his relationship with the coaching staff, “I had a good time with all of the coaches, especially Coach Holgorsen, Wickline, and Belk. They told me that they have space for me here at my position and that I can come in and be an impact player to the team.”

Lewis still has an official visit set to LSU, but will be making his decision sometime next week and informed me that the Mountaineers are going to be in his top 5. Lewis also holds offers from South Carolina, Ole Miss, LSU, Kentucky, Utah, Houston , Memphis and several others.
