NBA Summer League Schedule for Jesse Edwards

As the NBA summer league tipped off this week, let’s take a look at the schedule for former WVU center Jesse Edwards, who signed a two-way deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Edwards worked his way into an NBA draft combine invitation, where he spent a week in Chicago with other prospects.

The former Mountaineer and Syracuse Orange played in the Reese’s Division-I All-Star Game during the Final Four weekend in Phoenix, Az. The 6-foot-11 big man finished with eight points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 16 minutes. Edwards also recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks during the final game of the G League Elite Camp session.

Edwards averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks through 23 games with the Mountaineers. Edwards was sidelined for over a month with a fractured right wrist from December to January.

Other former Mountaineers playing in summer league include Erik Stevenson (Wizards), RaeQuan Battle (Hornets), Jalen Bridges (Suns), Tre Mitchell (Thunder), Emmitt Matthews Jr. (Hawks) and Gabe Osabuohien (Cavaliers).
