After a thrilling 18-15 win this weekend in an impromptu dual meet with Cleveland State, West Virginia University wrestling finds redshirt juniors, Noah Adams and Killian Cardinale and true freshman Peyton Hall nationally ranked. The Mountaineers are now 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the Big 12 on the year.

In their last matches, Adams and Hall both added identical 8-2 decisions against CSU’s Ben Smith and Riley Smucker respectively. Cardinale tallied a convincing 9-1 bonus-point victory against his CSU foe in the meet’s opening bout. All three individual victories proved essential for WVU to earn the narrow team win.

After the matches, Adams improved to 6-0 on the season, extending his personal match winning streak to 38, which dates back to Nov. 3, 2019. In Hall’s case, the Chester Vest Virginia native is now 5-1 in his first season of college action. For Cardinale, he now has an even 3-3 record on the year after his CSU win.
