WVU Football Recruiting
Speedy 2026 Florida WR Withdraws Commitment to WVU Football

When the WVU football stall secured the commitment of Jeffar Jean-Noel in February, he seemed like the perfect for Rich Rodriguez’s offense. However, fast forward a few months and Jean-Noel decided to withdraw his commitment.
“After prayer and talks with my family, I’ve decided to de-commit from West Virginia University and reopen my recruitment. This wasn’t easy. I’m grateful for the love and support from the coaching staff. Much respect to the program,” said Jean-Noel on X.
The 5-foot-10, 160-pound speedster out of American Heritage in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. was re-offered by the Mountaineers on Jan. 23 during a home visit by Blaine Stewart before he left his position for a job in the NFL. Jean-Noel was initially a recruit of Neal Brown’s staff.
With his recruitment back open, Jean-Noel has offers from several big brand schools, with Miami (FL), Michigan, Washington and Wisconsin standing out. Pitt even tried to make a recent push, meeting with Jean-Noel a few days before his commitment to West Virginia.
Considered a three-star prospect, Jean-Noel made 34 receptions for 505 yards and scored five touchdowns during his junior season in 2024. On3 Sports ranks him as the No. 103 player in Florida, a state full of top talent.
