Top 10 offensive skill players West Virginia will face in 2019
4. RB Larry Rountree III- Missouri
As the lone non-conference opponent player on the list, Rountree is an NFL-caliber back. Through his first two seasons, he has rushed for over 1,900 yards and 17 touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.
The Tigers will have a strong ground game, thanks in part to their mobile quarterback Kelly Bryant. Read options and RPO’s will likely be the majority of Missouri’s offensive play calls. West Virginia defensive coordinator Vic Koenning will have to load the box to stop the run. The magic number for the Mountaineers is 80 — if they can hold Rountree to under 80 yards on the ground, I like their chances.
