WVU Basketball
Twitter Reaction: Early Season Success of West Virginia Basketball Sparks Excitement
West Virginia fans are exited about their basketball team so far this season, and for good reason. WVU sits at 6-1, earned a fifth place finish in the PK85 in Portland, Oregon, beat Florida by 30 and the only team to beat them in Purdue has proceeded to show they are elite themselves.
As usual, Bob Huggins isn’t satisfied, knowing his team can get better and hasn’t always been at their best. Despite Huggins hesitation to voice too much praise, Mountaineer Nation couldn’t help themselves on Sunday night.

Is WVU basketball back?!? Only loss was to Purdue who looks like a legit contender (WVU shot themselves in the foot by not capitalizing on Purdue second half turnovers). Team can score in bunches and still doesn’t have one of its best players

Erik Stevenson represents so much about the difference in this season’s WVU team compared to last year. Not only is he a big boost on the court, but he’s that veteran leader presence that a good Bob Huggins team usually has.

I can't believe I'm saying this…
This team can score consistently.

So WVU basketball lost by 12 to a team that beat Duke by 19 and Gonzaga by 18. Maybe we overreacted a little to that loss. 🤷🏻♂️

West Virginia Basketball. Tougher than a long weekend at your in-laws.

2-1 with the one loss to the team that won the tournament, is a pretty successful trip for WVU basketball

WVU had 11 guys score two or more points tonight. Great job WVU men's basketball! Way to play as a team.

“West Virginia has balanced scoring.” Words you would never hear last season.

One could argue that WVU is the greatest 5th place Phil Knight Legacy team in the history of the tournament.
