Watch: WVU Basketball Coach Mike Carey On Preparing for 2020-21 Season

West Virginia women’s basketball head coach Mike Carey met with members of the media via Zoom Thursday afternoon.

Carey talked about what it was like trying to get the team ready for the start of the season while navigating COVID precautions. He said he thinks that teams with a lot of returning players will be better at the start of the season because it will be easier for them to adapt to the changes. Carey also talked about possibly playing a zone defense this season in case the team does not have enough time to learn how to play man.
