West Virginia Extends Offer to Wyoming Transfer WR Joshua Cobbs

Add another offer sent by West Virginia to a transferring wide receiver.
Wyoming transfer Joshua Cobbs tweeted Wednesday night that he has received an offer from the Mountaineers. Cobbs decided to seek a new college program for the 2023 season after having spent the last two years with the Cowboys.

Listed at 6’4″ and 204 pounds, Cobbs caught 35 balls for 407 yards while scoring two touchdowns in 2022. This production doubled his output from the season before.
Kaden Prather and Reese Smith deciding to transfer and both Bryce Ford-Wheaton and Sam James declaring for the NFL Draft depleted a West Virginia receiver room that was once thought of as pretty deep. This has since triggered a strong push by WVU to replace the receiver experience lost in the portal.
Kent State transfer Ja’Shaun Poke stands as WVU’s lone receiver commit from a transferring player.
