West Virginia Gives an Offer to Big Receiver from Connecticut

Published

on

West Virginia has dipped into Connecticut to offer 6`3 200 pound wide receiver Cornelius Johnson from Brunswick School.

Johnson has massive hands, good body control and great sideline awareness. He has some speed and is elusive. His route running is superb and uses his body to fight off defenders for the ball. Can block when needed, also can play the inside or outside spot. Cornelius is a red zone threat with his size and his vertical.

Johnson’s thoughts on the WVU offer are, that its his first Big XII offer and its a great program. He thinks the Mountaineers are building something special in a competitive conference, adding that it would be a blessing to play in the Big XII.

He works hard to be the best version of himself. He admires the NFL guys that work at their craft. Former Mountaineer players like Kevin White, Tavon Austin and Geno Smith are players that come to mind when he thinks of West Virginia Football.
