West Virginia Listed 9-Seed in Latest Bracketology Update

Following West Virginia’s win over No. 11 Iowa State, ESPN‘s Joe Lunardi listed WVU as a 9-seed in the east region of the tournament.

West Virginia would matchup with 8-seed Arkansas with the winner most likely facing 1-seed Houston in Birmingham, Al.

WVU enters this weekend with a 15-9 (4-7 Big 12) overall record. The Mountaineers have won five of their previous seven games. West Virginia has knocked off Iowa State, TCU, Auburn and others in their quest to get back into the NCAA Tournament hunt.

West Virginia has seven regular season games remaining: three at home, four on the road. WVU will travel to the lone star state for a two-game road trip against Texas and Baylor on Saturday and Monday, respectively.
