WVU Basketball Interested in WAC Player of the Year

West Virginia is interested in a player who was named his conference’s Player of the Year. WVU stands out on a long list of schools who have reached out to Dominik Nelson since he hit the transfer portal.
The Seros Partners agency recently told the Portal Report that well over 10 schools are pursuing Nelson. The Mountaineers are competing with both mid major and Power Four schools for the 2024-25 WAC Player of the Year.
The WAC POY, Dominick Nelson, has received interest from the following programs, per @SerosPartners:

Creighton
Charlotte
WVU
FAU
UNLV
Nevada
Rutgers
Dayton
Clemson
Bradley
Iowa State

Bradley, Clemson, Charlotte, Creighton, Dayton, FAU, Iowa State, Nevada, Rutgers and USC are some of the known programs who have expressed interest in Nelson.
The 6-foot-5 guard helped lead Utah Valley to the WAC regular season championship and an appearance in the NIT by averaging 14.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
Before earning individual notoriety in the WAC, Nelson spent two years at Polk State College.
