West Virginia and the Big 12 Conference have released an updated 2020 football schedule as the conference and the Mountaineers will attempt to forge ahead with a 10-game slate this fall.

WVU will host Eastern Kentucky on Sept. 12 as the Mountaineers’ only non-conference game, with league home games against Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, TCU and Oklahoma. The Mountaineers will travel to Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas and Iowa State.

“When the Big 12 announced a revised 10-game season, we knew that the schedule would change and there would be some flexibility built in to handle any COVID-19 disruptions,” athletic director Shane Lyons said in a press release. “This new schedule provides us with the nine league games, the one nonconference date and the ability to plan accordingly.”

The delayed start and spaced-out schedule will stretch into December, with the Big 12 Championship Game scheduled for Dec. 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
