WVU CB Charles Woods Helped Off Field with Leg Injury
During the first quarter of the Backyard Brawl, West Virginia CB Charles Woods was helped off the field with a left leg injury. Woods went down on a Pitt third down with just a minute left in the first frame. A medical cart came out just after Woods went to the sidelines and took the senior to the locker room.
Charles Woods just had to be helped off the field. Not putting a lot of weight on one of his legs.
That is not good for WVU, to say the least.

He was seen dressed with left foot wrapped during the second quarter walking around on it and riding the stationary bike. Went in at half time and that’s when he came back without pads. Was seen with a trainer pointing to the inside of the foot/ankle.
Woods is entering his senior season, second with West Virginia after transferring from Illinois State. Woods was selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 Conference Preseason First Team by the Big 12 media. The Texas native recorded two interceptions and 29 total tackles in 2021.
Among the players WVU absolutely could not lose for a significant period of time Charles Woods was really high on the list.
