WVU DL Taijh Alston Enters Transfer Portal

West Virginia defensive lineman Taijh Alston has decided to enter the transfer portal.

Alston, whose college career began in 2017 with East Carolina, will look to play his final year of eligibility his fourth school, include time at a community college. Alston posted a message on Instagram to explain his decision Thursday morning.

The veteran lineman’s best year with WVU came in 2021. He recorded 36 total tackles, 13 assists and five sacks that season. In 2022, Alston’s production dipped some with just 18 overall tackles, seven of them solo and two sacks. He made 16 career starts for the Mountaineers.
