WVU Fans Celebrate JJ Wetherholt Being Drafted by Cardinals
It wasn’t if JJ Wetherholt would get drafted, but when and by which team. But hearing his name called by the St. Louis Cardinals with the seventh pick in the first round sparked an instant celebration on social media by WVU fans. Cardinals fans were also happy about their team taking the Mountaineer star.
I was hoping JJ Wetherholt would keep sliding to the Pirates, but he ended up being drafted a franchise that knows how to develop prospects and is in a great baseball market. He should be thrilled.
