WVU Fans Thankful for the Mountaineers’ Effort in the Bahamas Despite Loss
Despite the Mountaineers taking a loss on Thursday, WVU fans were thankful to be watching exciting basketball again.
WVU fell 79-70 in overtime to Louisville in the Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals in the Bahamas.
Below shows some of the reactions from fans based on the performance against the Cardinals.
If you’d have told me @WVUhoops would be 1–1 in TWO overtime games against Gonzaga and Louisville I’d have taken it in a heartbeat. Wish Mountaineers could have won today’s rock fight but still impressed with this team’s fight. #letsgo pic.twitter.com/6CKNIGt3R3

Our size and rebounding is going to haunt us all year.. but they play hard.. box out.. scrappy on Defense … that’s all we can ask

Just got to make shots and we win. Simple as.
I'm still happy with how the tournament is turning out. UL treated Indiana like a mid major. And we shot poorly and forced OT

Something I’ve noted these past two games, shot making consistency has been something WVU has lacked in recent years and so far this year Jevon and Amani have been excellent! Tucker’s ability will come and when it does……. WATCHOUT. Sencire is the best defender in the nation.
