The WVU football program is firmly in contention to land a notable 2026 Florida recruit. Brian Harris, a defensive line prospect out of Jacksonville, has West Virginia within his top 10.
Harris revealed his top schools by posting a graphic on social media and asking the “where’s home?” question on Wednesday. The Mountaineers are in the mix against several major national brands.

Along with WVU, Harris is considering Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Michigan, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, Oklahoma, Penn State and Stanford.
West Virginia earned inclusion on the heels of Harris’ tip to Morgantown. “I had an amazing time at WVU. Thank ya’ll so much,” said Harris after returning home.
Harris is rated as a consensus three-star recruit and ranked as one of the top 100 players in Florida. He lands at No. 76 via 247 Sports.
