Could another athletic tight end be on his way to Morgantown? It’s possible now that the WVU football staff officially extended an offer to one of the country’s top tight end prospects.

Class of 2026 four-star Evan Jacobson added West Virginia to his list of offers on Tuesday.

“After a great conversation with coach Blaine Stewart, I am pumped to have received an offer from WVU!,” said Jacobson on X (Twitter).

Listed at 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds, Jacobson is a dual-sport athlete out of Waukee High School in Waukee, Iowa. He also plays basketball, but is pursuing football in college.

Jacobson is ranked among the top Iowa players in his class and within the top 15 tight ends in the nation by most major recruiting outlets.

He owns a three-star rating from On3 Sports and Rivals and a four-star classification from 247 Sports.

West Virginia’s current competition for Jacobson includes Florida State, Illinois, Iowa State, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, LSU, Miami (FL), Missouri, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin and several others. Penn State and Purdue were Jacobson’s most recent offers before WVU.
