Caden Biser is a Mountaineer. And now he’s a full scholarship player on the WVU football team.

This news wasn’t just revealed to Biser in some closed door meeting either. When head coach Neal Brown let his team know they will be wearing a traditional West Virginia road look to open the season Saturday night against Penn State, he did it by also making the moment about a Keyser, W.Va. native realizing his dream.

Brown had Biser’s father walk out wearing the uniform, and after explaining Mr. Biser played for WVU (1990-1993) to the current Mountaineers, Brown then announced that his son earned a full scholarship. The team then immediately erupted by turned their attention to Caden and started yelling and mobbing the Morgantown High School product.

After sitting out his first year with the WVU football team as a redshirt, linebacker Caden Biser, a redshirt sophomore, appeared in 11 games during the 2022 season. He finished with eight tackles and a fumble recovery.

No matter what Caden accomplishes on the field, this is a moment the entire Biser family will never forget.
