WVU kicker Evan Staley has reportedly been taken into the locker room after suffering an apparent injury while trying to make a tackle on kickoff coverage. Staley missed a 51-yard field goal on WVU’s first drive of this game and made a 19-yard on later in the first quarter.
Staley’s backup is sophomore Casey Legg. Legg has not attempted a field goal this season but made two of four attempts last season while Staley was out with an injury. Legg kicked the extra point after WVU’s first touchdown today.
