WVU’s Senior Day Game Vs. Oklahoma Has Been Postponed

West Virginia’s regular-season home finale against Oklahoma scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed, the Big 12 announced Wednesday.

According to the news release, the game was postponed due to the conference’s game interruption guidelines and Oklahoma not being able to meet the COVID-19 player thresholds. The Big 12 requires teams to meet the following thresholds in order to play games:
- minimum of 53 total players
- minimum of seven available offensive linemen
- minimum of four available interior defensive
- minimum of one available quarterback
WVU announced the game has been rescheduled to Dec. 12 with kickoff time and broadcast information to be announced. The game will still be played in Morgantown.
“I am disappointed for both teams, who have worked extremely hard in their preparation for this weekend’s game,” WVU athletic director Shane Lyons said in the release. “We will now look forward to honoring our seniors and hosting the Sooners on Dec 12.”
