West Virginia Mountaineers make their way onto the field on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, in Morgantown, W.Va.

It’s been a busy day for West Virginia in adding recruits to its 2022 class, and another potential recruit — or rather his mother — announced on Twitter that another WVU commit could be on the way soon.

2022 3-star wide receiver Shawn Miller from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida has narrowed down the list of schools pursuing him and announced his finalists. Indiana, Arizona, Illinois, Michigan State and WVU made the cut, edging out schools like Arizona State, Liberty, Miami, Syracuse and UNLV.

Miller (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) has had a busy June, receiving heavy interest from all five schools in his Top 5. He started the month by visiting Illinois, spent the weekend of June 11th in Morgantown and has visited Arizona, Michigan State and Indiana in the last 10 days.

During his visit to Morgantown, Miller got to connect with WVU commit Nicco Marchiol, both having played in Arizona in their prep careers, and even spent some time with WVU head coach Neal Brown at his home.

Miller, the 502nd-ranked recruit in the class of 2022 according to 247Sports (69th-ranked wide receiver and 73rd-ranked recruit from the state of Florida), racked up 205 receiving yards and three touchdowns in six games for the No. 1 ranked high school team in the country last season, according to MaxPreps. WVU can expect to learn where Miller will play sometime this summer.
