Four West Virginia players will be among the 38 Big 12 players attending the 2022 football media days in Dallas, Texas next week. The media days will take place at AT&T Stadium from July 13-14.

Wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton, cornerback Charles Woods, Defensive lineman Dante Stills and offensive lineman Zach Frazier. Surprisingly, high-profile transfer quarterback JT Daniels was not on the list.

There were several high-profile transfer quarterbacks in the Big 12 this year including Daniels, but not all will be making the trip.

Last year’s No. 1 rated prospect Quinn Ewers, who transferred to Texas from Ohio State, also won’t be at media days. However highly rated transfers Adrian Martinez (Kansas State) and Dillon Gabriel (Oklahoma) both will be there.

None of the four players representing West Virginia are transfers and all are returning starters from last year’s team. All four figure to play an major role for this year’s team. Frazier is already getting award buzz while Wheaton should be the team’s No. 1 wide receiver.

Meanwhile Stills returns after passing on the NFL Draft and Woods will be challenged with leading a secondary that was decimated by transfers this past off-season.
