West Virginia hosts No. 14 TCU in search of their first Big 12 Conference win of the season. Let’s take a look at five things to know before Wednesday’s game.

WVU and TCU Both Looking to End Streaks

Both West Virginia and TCU are looking to end losing streaks on Wednesday. West Virginia is looking to end a five-game losing streak. Mountaineers are 0-5 in the conference.

TCU has never won a game in Morgantown. The Horned Frogs are an all-time 0-10 at the WVU Coliseum.

One of these streaks will end tonight.

Meet the Opponent: TCU

TCU returned the most production in the country from last season’s team. The Horned Frogs reached the round of 32, taking 1-seed Arizona to overtime. Jamie Dixon returned his entire starting five, including Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year Mike Miles. Miles is averaging 19.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists through 14 games.

The Horned Frogs enter Wednesday’s game with a 14-3 (3-2 Big 12) record. TCU has defeated Texas Tech, Baylor and Kansas State while falling to Iowa State and Texas.

Will WVU Make a Rotation Adjustment?

Bob Huggins has hinted at playing small ball over the past week. Will West Virginia’s staff make the change and put Tre Mitchell at the five?

The Mountaineers played Mitchell at the five towards the end of the second half against Oklahoma last Saturday. West Virginia’s spacing was much better with the paint not clogged at any point. Mitchell, Emmitt Matthews, Kedrian Johnson and Joe Toussaint attempted to steal the game in Norman but fell short. Huggins and his staff can get creative with the lineups.

Betting Lines

The spread for the West Virginia-TCU game is WVU -2.5. The over/under is set at 149.0.
