Battle for Black Diamond Trophy Announced as Sell Out
When a rival who hasn’t visited in a long time comes to town and the game is being nationally televised on a Thursday night, you better pack the stadium. That’s exactly what’s going to happen when West Virginia travels to Blacksburg to meet Virginia Tech with game officially being announced as sold out.
Virginia Tech tweeted the sell out news on Tuesday. Lane Stadium is notoriously a rocking atmosphere, especially for a big game, and that should be on full display in the battle for the Black Diamond Trophy.

The sell out is not just due to Hokies fans though. A significant contingent of Mountaineer Nation is expected be there to support WVU too.
If you aren’t going to be there in person, WVU and Virginia Tech will kickoff at 7:30 pm on ESPN.
