Big 12 College Football Whip Around for Week 9

Kansas State celebrating college football

On this week’s Big 12 Whip Around beyond West Virginia’s loss to TCU, one team made a major statement in a dominating performance over a top 10 team.

Oklahoma showed they have talent

The Sooners are enduring one of their worst seasons in over two decades, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have tons of elite talent on the roster. Oklahoma beat Iowa State 27-13, including a 101-yard rushing day for Eric Gray.

Kansas State makes a statement

Kansas State didn’t just upset 9 ranked Oklahoma State, they destroyed the Cowboys. A 48-0 win secures Kansas State as a ranked team, likely propelling them into the top 15. It also leaves TCU as the only Big 12 team with a shot at making the playoff.

Baylor wins rivalry game

The Bears beat down Texas Tech, moving ahead of the Red Raiders in the conference standings, likely for good. A battle between WVU’s last two opponents ended with the team the Mountaineers beat winning big over the team that had their best game of the season against WVU, continuing to show nothing makes sense in a conference with tons of parity this season.
