Oddsmakers Open Week with West Virginia Road Underdog to Iowa State

In keeping up with the recent trend, oddsmakers are opening another week expecting West Virginia to lose their upcoming game.

This time, WVU starts off as a 6-point road underdog to Iowa State, according to Circa Sports. While both teams have 3-5 overall records, the Cyclones likely get the the edge due to being at home.

Out of all the WVU odds this season, this one comes as somewhat of a surprise for being as much as 6 points since Iowa State enters the game on a 5-game losing streak after starting the season 3-0. WVU is coming off back-to-back losses, but a solid effort in a close game against top 10 ranked TCU.

This game is important for both programs, as the loser will need to win the rest of their games to reach bowl eligibility. The Mountaineers and Cyclones are scheduled for a 3:30 EST kickoff and the game can be watched on ESPN+.
