Bob Huggins Honored During Pre-Game for 900 Wins
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – During the pre-game festivities for the WVU vs. Oakland game, head coach Bob Huggins was honored for recording his 900th win.
Huggins got win No. 900 back in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Morehead State. Huggins became the sixth-winningest coach in NCAA history. The 40-year coaching veteran is just behind Mike Krzyzewski (1,170), Jim Boeheim (982), Jim Calhoun (918), Roy Williams (903) and Bob Knight (902).
WVU Athletic Director Shane Lyons presented Huggins with a 900-win jersey in front of the crowd filing in for the season opener.
