BREAKING: DL Jordan Jefferson officially signs with West Virginia

Published

on

Navarre (FL) defensive lineman Jordan Jefferson has officially signed with West Virginia.

Jefferson chose the Mountaineers over other offers from Kansas State and Louisville among others.

Jefferson becomes the first signee under new defensive line coach Jordan Lesley, who we saw tweet a couple of things on the day that Jefferson was in town for an official visit indicating that the pledge to West Virginia was made while on campus.

The defensive tackle position is one that is a little thin when it comes to experience heading into 2019. With Kenny Bigelow graduating, the only returner at the position is Darius Stills. With Jefferson’s frame (6’4″ 300 lbs) and the leverage he creates at the line of scrimmage, he should be able to come in and compete right away to earn a spot in the rotation up front.
