It’s decision day for one of the top athletes in the country.

Florida 2022 4-star cornerback/wide receiver Jacolby Spells will be announcing his college commitment at 1 p.m. and choosing between West Virginia, Miami and Indiana. The Fort Lauderdale native held over 30+ offers including ones from Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Penn State and Texas A&M.

Spells is ranked by 247 Sports as one of the Top  20 cornerbacks and Top 200 overall players in the Class of 2022.

West Virginia Sports Now spoke with Spells when he announced his top 3 and he spoke about his attraction to the Mountaineer program. Spells first official visit was to West Virginia at the beginning of June.

”I learned that West Virginia is a great place and honestly, everything about it felt like family. The time I spent with the players and coaches we also felt like we built a family bond,” said Spells. “If I went there, I believe I could get on the field early because of my different type of speed.”
