Former Mountaineer Leddie Brown Sees Limited Action for Chargers in Preseason Game

Former Mountaineer Leddie Brown saw limited action in the Chargers preseason game Saturday night.

Brown, who signed with Los Angeles after not being drafted this offseason, did not see a touch until the second half. Despite it taking awhile for him to be utilized, Brown did end up with 5 carriers and a reception overall in the game.

Much like his preseason debut last week, the 22-year-old running back was used both on the ground and in the passing game as a receiver. Brown was unable to materialize yards on the ground until finally popping a 6-yard run late in the 4th quarter. He finished with 11 yards on 5 rushing attempts and 4 yards off 2 receptions overall.

Brown was among 6 running backs to earn a carry in the game. Joshua Kelly was offered the most carries of any back with 7.

This outing follows Brown’s performance last week where he ran for -2 yards, but caught 3 balls for 22 yards against the defending Super Bowl champion Rams.

In this same game, fellow WVU product Will Grier impressed in his appearance for the Cowboys.
