Former WVU OL Johnny Williams Commits to SEC School
Offensive lineman Johnny Williams becomes the latest departing Mountaineer to find a new college program. Williams announced he’s now committed to Missouri on Saturday.
Williams entered the transfer portal a week ago and posted the message below on social media.
“want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of my journey here at West Virginia University,” he wrote. After careful reflection and consideration and conversation with God and my family, I have made the decision to enter my name into the transfer portal.”
A Georgia native, Williams came to WVU as a member of the 2023 signing class. He appeared in five games as a freshman while redshirting and most games this season on special teams.
At the time of his transfer decision, Williams was the third WVU offensive lineman to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining starter Tomas Rimac and fellow backup Sully Weidman. Rimac then committed to Virginia Tech to join the recently hired former WVU offensive coach Matt Moore.

I know it sucks losing some of these players! Most everyone that has left are way to soft or not tuff enough to succeed in RR new style of play!
