A big part of the excitement surrounding the news of quarterback JT Daniels transferring to West Virginia was he wasn’t the only addition to the WVU offense. Knowing Daniels would be reunited with new offensive coordinator Graham Harrell is what called for confidence for fans and media.

The WVU signal caller was asked to touch on his connection with offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, a coach he had a connection with from their time together at USC, and his current group of weapons on offense.

To paraphrase Daniels on Harrell, “when I left USC, I didn’t hear from him for two years. He then texted me that he was at West Virginia and they were looking in the portal for a QB. Instantly, West Virginia was in my top 3 without knowing anything about them.”

Daniels was also asked directly how he’s liked living in Morgantown as a place when appearing on a SiriusXM College Sports station. “I love it. My dogs love it here. It feels like my type of environment that’s just straight down to ball with good people. We continue to embrace that. We are more of a blue collar, continue to fight type of team,” said Daniels about the area.
