MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – As the Westchester Knicks and College Park Skyhawks faced off against each other on Friday night in the NBA G-League, so did two West Virginia greats.

Westchester guard Miles McBride and College Park assistant coach Da’Sean Butler went head-to-head in a G-league matchup.

McBride finished the game with a near triple-double performance. The former WVU guard had 23 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists against the Skyhawks. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native shot 8-of-15 from the field, and 3-of-7 from three.

The Knicks ended up getting passed Butler’s Skyhawks 121-117, as McBride knocked down two free-throws towards the end of the game.

McBride will stick in the G-league until the New York Knicks clear some guard space, as they’re currently looking to trade Kemba Walker.

So far in Butler’s season, the 2010 Big East Conference Tournament MVP has assisted the Skyhawks this season. Butler was hired in September after spending a season assisting at Wheeling University. The Newark, New Jersey, native also coached Best Virginia during TBT, in July.
