McBride, Paige Go Head-to-Head in G-league Battle

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – In a regular season matchup on Monday night between the Maine Celtics and the Westchester Knicks, former WVU guards Miles McBride and Jaysean Paige went up against each other.
Both former Mountaineers had great nights.
McBride, who played guard for WVU from 2020-21, finished with 28 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native played in 41 minutes, shooting 11-of-25 from the field against the Celtics.
McBride’s highlight of the night was throwing down a slam dunk on Maine’s Brodric Thomas.

Paige, who played at West Virginia from 2015-16, also had a great night in the same game. The 27-year-old guard played in 25 minutes, scoring 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field. Paige made 2-three’s and also had three rebounds.

Paige got the last laugh out of the former Mountaineer greats as the Celtics defeated the Knicks 110-100.
