On the heels of the Ross Hodge introductory press conference, Mike Asti and Cody Nespor fired up a new episode of Mountaineer Nation to evaluate how the new WVU basketball head coach performed and discussed the highs and lows of his first opportunity to speak to Mountaineer Nation.

    that wasn’t a win for hodgepodge,, i think it’s still a terrible hire, and this fall when we start to play will back me up

    It definitely was a win. He impressed me but I didn’t need to hear about how he likes to go for hikes (feel like that was a reach to really try to force a connection with the scenery of WV). I understand most of WV does appreciate loyalty (me included) but they also need to realize college athletics is a business at the end of the day. I hate the current landscape of college hoops (and football for that matter) but we have to adapt. Anyways to stay on topic. I really do believe this was a homerun hire for Wren and Hodge is ready to earn respect for anyone doubting him. Keep up the good work Mike. Let’s Gooooo!!!!

    I think he will do great… Seems committed to getting WVU basketball back on track…Winner at everyplace that he has been coaching….Getting great players out of the portal will be key to success… Can he get some of our recruits back?? We’ll see…
