Packers Trade Former Mountaineer DB Rasul Douglas to Bills

A former Mountaineer turned impact NFL player is on the move. Cornerback Rasul Douglas is headed to Buffalo to bolster the secondary of a Bills team looking to make another playoff push.

News broke of the Packers trading Douglas just before the NFL’s 4 pm ET trade deadline. Douglas and a fifth-round pick were dealt to the Bills for a third-round pick, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The 28-year-old Douglas will now join his seventh different NFL team after being drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of WVU. After winning being part of a Super Bowl champion right away with the Eagles, the WVU product has spent time with the Panthers, Raiders, Texans, Cardinals and has been with Green Bay since 2021.

Rasul Douglas has recorded 354 tackles, 66 pass deflections, 15 interceptions, two defensive scores and a sack to this point in his NFL career. He has 32 total tackles and a pick so far this season.
