As to be expected, Pat McAfee made the most out of his return to Morgantown over the weekend. The WVU kicker turned media mogul gave a recap of his experience and how his Gold team was able to come out on top over Pat White’s Blue.

On the spring game win, “everybody knew what was happening in the first half of that thing with those refs and Pat White who build that place and everything that was taking place. I think it was like six to 14 calls against my team, zero calls for my team in the first half. How the hell does that happen? And I don’t know the plays or most of the kid’s names,” said McAfee during a segment on his popular daily talk show “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday afternoon.

Despite the adversity, McAfee brought up barking at the refs in the second half as what helped turn the tables in favor of his team.

But McAfee’s time in Morgantown was about far more than just coaching the Gold-Blue Game. McAfee talked about seeing old friends and teammates for the first time in years and stopping by every bar that’s still around from his college days.

For a related story, who are some other former WVU players you wish to see coach in future spring games?
