It’s important to enjoy summer, but another WVU football season is fast approaching. And regardless of projections and opinions about the 2023 West Virginia Mountaineers, there are some intriguing games on the schedule for fans in Morgantown.

WVU may kickoff the season on the road again at Penn State, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be solid matchups available at Milan Puskar Stadium. So what home game are you looking forward to the most?

Is it the easy pick of the return of the Backyard Brawl to Morgantown? Neal Brown has already called the Brawl a must-win and WVU fans desperately want to avenge last season’s close loss in Pittsburgh.

But in the grand scheme of the season, it’s the conference games that really matter. After Pitt, West Virginia welcomes in Texas Tech to start Big 12 play, a team the Mountaineers have struggled with in recent years.

Other options include, Oklahoma State, another historic program like WVU who is sticking around for the new Big 12, and new members BYU and Cincinnati, also travel to Morgantown this year.
