Report: Radford HC, Former WVU Guard Darris Nichols Charged with DUI

As reported by WDBJ7, Radford head coach Darris Nichols was charged with driving under the influence and was arrested on Sunday. Nichols played at West Virginia from 2004-08.

Report says officials confirm Nichols was arrested February 19, 2023 for DUI in Radford, and released the next day on a $3500 unsecured bond.

Nichols is in his second year as the head coach at Radford. The Virginia native has the Highlanders at a 17-12 (11-5 Big South) record. Nichols has coached his way up the ladder at Northern Kentucky, Wofford, Louisiana Tech and Florida as an assistant.
