According to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, West Virginia and Purdue will matchup in the first round of the PK85 tournament on Nov. 24. This will mark the first time the schools have faced each other since 2013.

WVU and Purdue will tip-off at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day with the winner taking on Gonzaga or Portland State.

West Virginia and Purdue have met eight times in history, with the Boilermakers winning seven of those games. WVU’s only win in the series history was in 2011 when Purdue came to Morgantown. The Mountaineers won 68-64.

This past season, Purdue reached the NCAA Tournament behind top-5 NBA draft pick Jaden Ivey. Ivey along with a good supporting cast won 29 games earning a 3-seed in the tournament. Purdue lost to cinderella Saint Peter’s in the Sweet-16.

Matt Painter and the Boilermakers return 7-foot-4 center Zach Edey as well as Mason Gillis, Caleb Furst and others.
