Scheduled Adjusted for WVU Baseball vs. BYU Series

With forecasted inclement weather on the horizon, the schedule for the upcoming series between the WVU baseball team and BYU has been adjusted.

Thursday’s game will begin at 4:30 p.m. and Friday’s game will start at 2 p.m. Saturday’s game will remain at 12:30 p.m.

Fans with tickets for Thursday or Friday’s game can still use it for the earlier start times or can exchange that ticket for a ticket to a future regular season home game this season of equal or lesser value at the Mountaineer Ticket Office at the WVU Coliseum or by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME. Exchanged ticket seat location is subject to availability.

The shifting of the BYU series comes after Tuesday’s scheduled game against Penn State was canceled.

A week after dropping out of one national poll, the Mountaineers are firmly ranked within all three. West Virginia opens the new week at No. 18 in Baseball America and No. 20 in both Perfect Game and D1 Baseball.

After falling in Friday’s series opener, WVU claimed the rubber match in their road series against Baylor on Sunday as junior left-hander Maxx Yehl fired eight scoreless innings, striking out 12 batters and allowing just three hits, all singles. The Mountaineers (13-4, 2-1 Big 12) won 8-0.
